Let’s be a Manager at Tsukada Nojo!

Rate : 9/10

OMG I’m so suapakau when I first came here! I thought I was a but late, but, better late than never right? I went to Tsukada Nojo for lunch at first, but the place hadn’t opened yet, so I went back the day after tomorrow for dinner.

I never know this place before and actually a man brought me out here for a lunch dinner date 😆 because I really love soup, like really lovee!!

We went there on Saturday and the place was really crowded. We had to wait for almost two hours, err okay, maybe because it was weekend. The impatient me was so curious about the taste of this famous beauty collagen hotpot.

Well, Tsukada Nojo is a Japanese restaurant specialty in beauty collagen stock. They are known for their Bijin Nabe (Beauty Collagen Hotpot).

Why is it called Beauty Pot?

Because you know, they said that drinking collagen soup will make you skin smooth and clean, makes you look beautiful, especially for the ladies. I bet lot of girls come here for this 😅

Taste : 9/10

The soup is stewed for about 8 hours until the chicken bones are fully dissolved. The soup looks like pudding, or I think it’s more similar to 豆花 at first, then we just need heat it to wait till it melt fully and turned to collagen soup. Soup is rich and chicken is tender. The combination of fresh seafoods and vegetables with the soup is superb nice. There are quite lots of things that you can put inside the soup; lady’s finger, yellow zucchini, watermelon radish, baby corn, yuzu, deep fried tofu, black fungus, mushrooms, fresh shrimps, deep fried tofu.

Service : 8/10

The serving staffs dressed in Kimono are all very nice and polite to us. They always assist us in cooking too.

After we finished eating, we were each handed a “business card” and asked to write our names on them. The card is given to customers and you are given a stamp with each dinner visit. First-timers will start from “Assistant Manager” level and will be “promoted” to the next management level on subsequent visit. So, don’t forget to bring your card every time you visit here. Plus, we will also be given a free dessert on each visit. How nice is it? 😋

Songs of the Sea ended after 7 years of its journey at 4 May 2014 and 6 weeks later, exactly on 17 June 2014, the new show called “Wings of Time” was born.

Wings of Time is a spectacular night show which sets outdoors with the majestic musics. It tells the story of two teenagers – Rachel and Felix, who help a mystical pre-historic bird find its way home. So, three of them travel across beautiful landscapes and go through the mysteries of time.

Laksa at Toast Box?

What..
Can you think when I mention about good food in Singapore? Chicken rice? Collagen soup? Or…

Yeah, Laksa! It’s a popular spicy noodle with coconut based soup, consists of noodles with chicken or seafood inside.

Where?
Speaking of it, I just had my laksa few days ago in Toast Box located at City Square Mall, Singapore. At first I thought toast box only serve some desserts or beverages like coffee, tea. I never thought they have main course like laksa. And my bf brought me there to try the laksa for the first time.

How..
1457802791900Is the taste? Well, the soup is nice and tasty. It has thick texture and smell good too. Looks like curry but it’s not. A bit spicy but I still can take it.

How much?
I may say this laksa is quite pricy. S$6.8 per bowl, with some prawns inside, sliced fish balls, beansprout.

Rate : 7/10

I had the laksa together with two half boiled eggs and barley drink. That was good combination tho.

So, have you been here? What’s your favorite in toast box?

Beauty in The Pot is one of the concept from Paradise Group. It’s one of the crazy crowded steamboat aka hotpot restaurant in Singapore.

IMG_20160102_130045_HDRTheir signature is the Beauty Collagen Broth ($20 per pot / $25 for twin flavors). The collagen soup base isn’t boiled from chicken but from Shark Cartilage which give you rich flavors on your tongue and also abundant benefits for your health. *p.s. also the beauty for the ladies 😀

Collagen Soup was too delicious till you can’t get enough of it but don’t worry, they give you four bottles of refills and it’s free! So it’s okay if you don’t order drinks because the sup itself can make you so full already.

The Ingredients are fresh and superb tasty. You can order either one or half portion (half portion can suit for 2 pax). Order half portion on each ingredients and you can get to taste a lot. We ordered some kinds of mushrooms, Sliced Pork Belly ($12), Ebiko Prawn Paste, Fried Fish Skin ($5), Tofu, Lotus Root, Spinach.

There’re a lot of ingredients for you to choose. They provide an iPad for each table so you can look at the menu slowly while swiping them one by one on the iPad 😀

The Mixture of the soup and ingredients is so delicious. You can put all the ingredients inside the soup or you can just agar agar put inside the soup for few seconds and eat it. Before that, you can dip the ingredients inside the sauce that you can choose and mix by yourself.

The Service of this restaurant is excellent. The waiter / waitress will treat you like a queen / king all the time! They are very attentive and polite, and they bow ALL THE TIME! Like if they remove your plate, they bow, help you with the soup, bow, take your orders, bow. This maybe the greatest restaurant service so far.

yuzuAt the end of the meal, they will serve Yuzu drinks for free. Sweet, sour, and icy. So cool and fresh! A perfect drink after a hot steamboat.

Will I come back again?

YES for sure. The collagen soup is so addicting and probably will make you want more and more.

Tips:

If you want to come, be sure to call and make a reservation first. We came at 10 pm to have late dinner but it’s full house and the receptionist told us that we have to wait till 1 am which means 3 more hours. So we decided to go back and have dinner somewhere else then go back to the restaurant for lunch the day after. *we called and made reservation at 11am when the restaurant just opened 😀

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum (新加坡佛牙寺龙华院)

Buddha Tooth Relic TeIMG_20151002_171621_HDRmple and Museum (新加坡佛牙寺龙华院) is a four-storey Buddhist Temple located in the Central district of Singapore. It was built based on the Tang Dynasty architectural style and also to house the tooIMG_20151002_170607_HDRth relic of the historical Buddha – claimed that it was found in 1980 in Myanmar.

From outside, you can see the grand building, like super huge temple, and it is! When you step inside, you can see every beautiful part of the temple. It’s artistic, colorful, and very Zen. It gives you warmth and peace when you are inside the temple. It’s also very clean and wide. You can take elevator to go to the Sacred Light Hall (Sacred Buddha Tooth Relic Chamber) on the top floor, which is the repository of the sacred Buddha tooth. *no photographs allowed in this place

There are a lot of Buddha statues around the temple. There’s also a beautiful garden located on the top floor. I suggest you to visit this place at least once even if you’re not Buddhist. It’s worth it to see around the place and enjoy the Zen vibe.

Around the temple, it’s already the Chinatown market which sells lots of cheap things and souvenirs.

Tips :

If you want to visit this place, for ladies I recommend to wear shirt / dress that can cover up your shoulder and also long skirt / pants. But if you wear sexy shirt like me last time also don’t worry because the temple provide a scarf to cover your body before you enter the temple.
